Why do I need a one off Self Assessment?

For our Limited Company clients, Self Assessments is included in our monthly package. If you aren’t an ongoing client then we can still help. So, how do you know if you might require a personal tax return?

You have rental income
You have any other income that hasn’t been taxed at source
You have annual income of £100,000 or more before tax;
You or your partner receive child benefit and your adjusted net income is over £50,000. This is because of the high income child benefit charge;
You have capital gains to declare.
You made significant personal charitable donations or personal pension contributions.

There are many other reasons why you may require a one off Self Assessment, if you’re unsure, get in touch.

Maslins was the third contractor accountancy I signed up with after having a very poor experience with two of the bigger firms. I'd previously been let down by poor advice, poor communication and... online software that didn't work properly. I initially found the Freeagent contractor accountancy software and loved the look of the product and the feedback it was getting. I then looked for an accountants that used the software and came up with a shortlist. I did a lot of background research into the companies on my shortlist and found a lot of contractor forum posts recommending Maslins with no negative comments. I signed up with Maslins and have found they have always gone above and beyond my expectations. They have always been on hand to give advice and have never let me down in the slightest. I've always been able to ring or email them and get the advice I need immediately. They've also been great at chasing me to get things done on time which isn't always easy when you're a busy contractor! I have no hesitation in recommending Maslins!read more
