Chris heads up a Maslins team, and spends the rest of his time looking after dogs and placing daft bets on Scotland to win at rugby.
2000-2003 – Economics degree, Southampton University.
2004-2007 – Tenon (now RSM Tenon), audit and accounts. Completed ACA (Chartered Accountancy) qualification.
2007-2008 – Baker Tilly, corporate tax. Completed CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) qualification.
2008-now – Set up the practice. Now well established from base in Tunbridge Wells, serving clients across the UK
Julie joined us late 2013, having already completed her AAT. Julie doesn’t drink (hence therefore make) tea, which gives her additional valid seconds every day to devote to helping clients. Julie also heads up a Maslins team.
2002-2008 – Agronomy degree from Ukraine’s National University of Life and Environmental Sciences.
2007-2013 – Production manager for a small ice cream producer whilst studying AAT.
2013-now – Accounts assistant for Maslins, assisting clients with accounting/tax queries. Qualified ACCA, now studying CTA.
Moira works closely alongside Chris and when not working is normally found at her local bridge club or having one of her (far too many) holidays.
undisclosed – Qualified with ICAS (Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland) at some point before decimalisation and the internet, but after the wheel.
19odd-2009 – Many years experience in the profession spread over a few different firms.
2010-now – Working for Maslins, helping to run the office and oversee most accounting/tax affairs.
Gareth started in the middle of the Jan 2015 personal tax return rush. We’re hoping he’ll become our in house IT geek alongside his accountancy training.
2010-2012 – Studying for physics degree at Sussex University.
2011-2014 – Various roles at Sainsbury’s, leading a small team and dealing with tricky customers.
2015-now – Accounts supervisor for Maslins, answering client accounting/tax queries. Part ACCA qualified.
Ruth joined in Jan 2016, already fully qualified ACCA from previous roles.
2002-2015 – various roles for Mondi Sales UK, initially in accounts but drifting into sales, giving Ruth broad experience whilst she completed both AAT then ACCA.
Ruth also has a first class honours degree in Applied Accounting.
Keen to continue her studies (a self confessed nerd), she’s training to add Chartered Tax Adviser to her qualifications.
Keri joined in August 2016 following a trip backpacking around Europe where she learned tough life skills whilst simultaneously avoiding eating any vegetables.
Most of her previous work experience was with WHSmith, but we’ve been assured she spent most of her time inspecting their manual bookkeeping ledgers.
Keri’s progressing through the AAT qualification, and much to the rest of the team’s frustration, doesn’t drink (hence make) cups of tea/coffee.
Hamish was only born in mid 2014 but has already been appointed our Director of Shredding.
Keen to progress within the organisation, he ignores our “smart casual” dress code, insisting on wearing a tie at all times.
His personal hygiene sometimes comes into question, but his loyalty is second to none.
We’re currently assessing which accounting qualification is most suitable for his unique skills.
